MONOCORE®

MONOCORE® is an integral structure panel patented by Metalleido Components, company of the Abet Laminati group. This innovative panel has truly revolutionized the way of looking at a sandwich: It consists of a three-dimensional glass-fiber fabric impregnated with resin.

This structure is delamination-free. The tecnique used to produce the fabric is the same used for velvet tissue: the final step of cutting in two side the so worked tissue is skipped. The fabric is impregnated with phenolic resin to obtain an extremely light but strong panel. It may be produced raw or in one shot with decorative HPL laminates. It may be also cutted in standard dimensions or according to customers requirements; may be curved with the "cut and fold" tecnique. MONOCORE® 3D is the only tridimensional panel with a monoblock structure: it has a really high impact resistance and especially a very high delamination resistance, solving the main problem of the sandwich structure.

Besides solving the problem of delamination, Metalleido Components has also tackled the question of weight. The structure of MONOCORE® is extremely strong , but also very light. The fibers and resins used to manufacture MONOCORE® have been carefully selected to guarantee excellent fire resistance and smoke toxicity properties. In fact, it has achieved international certifications for use in marine, aircraft and railways sectors ( for example, according to Rina Type examination Certificate MED 96/98/EC module B+D) .

Monocore FP

Fibers, laminates, wood and melamines can be applied on the outer skin of MONOCORE® . They become an integral part of the structure, offering a wide range of decorative options. Metalleido Components objective is to offer "total quality" products and services: panelling, cutting in size, joints, production of special curved parts.
